Healthcare quality, risk and governance support

I work with health and disability services to strengthen quality, risk and governance.

About

I’m Victoria, an independent consultant supporting health and disability services on quality, risk and governance.

With over 30 years’ experience across private, public and not-for-profit healthcare settings, my work draws on senior operational and governance leadership. I am often engaged through referral and partner with boards, executives and operational leaders in both established and emerging organisations.

I work alongside these organisations where systems are still forming, expectations have shifted, complexity has increased, or an independent perspective is helpful. The focus of my work is on putting in place systems and processes that are practical, proportionate and aligned to how decisions are made – supporting safe, high-quality care and better outcomes.

How I help

Support is provided across the following areas:

Governance and assurance

Supporting boards and senior leaders to strengthen governance, reporting and oversight, with clear links between quality, risk, safety and organisational performance.

Quality and risk systems

Designing, reviewing or simplifying systems so they are clear, practical and aligned to standards, strengthening information flow and the experience of those delivering and receiving care, supporting better consumer outcomes.

Audit and regulatory readiness

Supporting preparation for certification, external audit and regulatory review by translating requirements into practical systems and evidence.

Partnered advisory support

Working alongside leaders and project teams as a trusted advisor during periods of change, growth or increased scrutiny.

How I work

My role adapts to the context and maturity of each organisation and is shaped in partnership with my clients.

Involvement may be short-term or ongoing, clearly defined or more fluid, depending on what will add the most value.

The focus is on strengthening clarity, confidence and capability, particularly where systems need to be simplified or made more workable.

Strong systems do not need to be complicated.
